Training
V-linc networks was founded in 1999 to provide hands on training in the video conferencing world. The original founders of V-linc networks started their careers in the repair and diagnosing of problems in the network and computer industry. We looked at all the different types of training available and came to the conclusion that there was something missing. None of the available courses went into live networking and offered the ability to diagnose and repair problems. We then put our resources together and built a state of the art network and course that first teaches the technology and then allows the student to implement his design. Upon completion of programming and testing the instructor then introduces different failures. The student must find the problem and inform the instructor.
The topology used for training is the same environment found in real life networks. You will be given scenarios and you will design networks to solve the problem. As in any network the object is to make it as reliable as possible, but in the real world you will have other vendors to contend with. Some of the problems will be from other vendors (Carrier, Equipment, Ect). This course is as real as it gets; it is not a simulator.
